Deborah Colker got inspiration for her new production from one of the great classic books of universal literature. The piece is based on Eugene Onegin, the novel written in verses, published in 1832, by Aleksander Pushkin, considered the father of Russian literature. In two acts, Companhia de Dança Deborah Colker brings the character of Pushkin onto the stage, interacting with the desires, thoughts, actions and psychological transformations of the four main characters of his masterpiece. Music from composers such as Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky and Prokofiev sets the mood for this timeless journey to the heart of a history full of duels, mismatches, passion and frustration.
